Ward Panel update |
||
|
The Biggin Hill ward panel was held yesterday evening, where the community discuss the quarterly crime figures (sent to yourselves recently) along with current community concerns before setting the policing priorities for the local policing team. The priorities are required to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timed for a period of 2 months. The team will then report back to the panel at the next meeting.
The current ward Priorities are as follows:-
Increase Visibility The panel received positive feedback regarding the policing team visibility, and our aim in to increase foot patrols in order to provide community reassurance and engagement within the community.
Traffic/Road Safety Speeding vehicles and dangerous driving is a concern from Met Engage survey. The team will conduct operations to target these concerns.
Online Abuse - Education regarding the use of public platforms
Ward Panel Chairman, Honourable Alderman David Haslam, along with the members have sat on the panel for a considerable number of years which gives a greater understanding to what can and cannot be implemented, and why. We are very fortunate to have dedicated community members who represent the ward and organisations, who give their time to support the community and policing team. Amongst the members, we have a wealth of knowledge and skills that form partner working, where we all share the same aim of focusing on our community. Pictured below is a very proud Mr Haslam who has launched his latest childrens book “Eliza & Matty and the Big Stinky Cloud”.
